me. Earlier, studying had always meant memorizing facts and learning whatever was written in our textbooks. However, in the IB Program we were taught to question and to think for ourselves. We learnt to do independent research, to analyze and evaluate facts and data, and in turn arrive at our own conclusions. The two years I spent in the IB program equipped me with essential skills, such as the acknowledgement of multiple perspectives, improved time-management, and the ability to work collaboratively with peers. Many of these skills are proving to be crucial in college. Currently, I am pursuing a BFA in Illustration at the School of Visual Arts in New York. Doing the IB Visual Arts course at Higher Level has definitely given me a headstart. We had already learnt how to analyze and evaluate paintings in IB Visual Arts, making Art History classes in college much easier for me. IB also honed my essay writing skills, which are coming in very handy. Overall, the IB Diploma Program at MHS provided me with a very wholesome and balanced education, motivating me to step out of my comfort zone and readily accept challenges. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.
